We've been busy improving CANpark — and we're excited to share the latest feature upgrade now live in your system.
Time-Based Overstay Detection
Managing a parking lot with a time limit just got a whole lot smarter. We've deployed a brand new Hourly Expiry Violation Mode — a first-of-its-kind addition to CANpark — designed specifically for lots that enforce a maximum parking duration (e.g., a 2-hour limit).
🔍 Here's How It Works
Scan a Plate → Timer Starts Automatically
The moment a vehicle is scanned, the clock starts. No manual input required.
Re-Scan Within the Limit → See Time Remaining
Scan the same plate again and instantly know the vehicle's status.
Re-Scan After the Limit → Take Action
If the vehicle has exceeded the allowed time, the system immediately flags it and prompts your staff:
12-Hour Session Reset
Sessions automatically reset after 12 hours — so returning vehicles the next morning always start with a fresh timer. No stale flags, no false alerts.
Overstay Notification Bell — Always Visible
The notification bell is now permanently visible on screen. The moment any vehicle exceeds its time limit, your staff gets an instant alert — so nothing slips through the cracks.
